Minorcan Mike’s Datil Breakfast Bagel


Start your morning right with Minorcan Mike’s Datil Breakfast Bagel using both Minorcan Mike’s Datil Pepper Sauce and Datil Pepper Salsa.


  • Poached Eggs

  • Datil Avocado Pesto (see instructions below)

    • 1 cup packed fresh basil leaves

    • ½ large ripe avocado

    • 2 cloves garlic

    • 3 Tbsp pine nuts

    • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

    • ½ Tbsp Minorcan Mike’s Datil Pepper Sauce (or more depending on your spice preference)

    • 3 Tbsp water (more if necessary)

    • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Everything Bagel

  • Minorcan Mike’s Salsa


  1. To make the Datil Avocado Pesto, combine basil, avocado, garlic, nuts, lemon juice and sauce in
    a blender or food processor and pulse until nuts are chopped. Add water and blend again until
    smooth. Transfer to a bowl and mix in cheese. Set aside.

  2. Toast everything bagel and poach eggs.

  3. Create your Datil Breakfast Bagel by putting the bagel on a plate and loading with datil pesto
    and then the poached egg.

  4. Lastly, top with Minorcan Mike’s Datil Pepper Salsa, to taste, for a hearty and healthy breakfast!
